FAQ: FAQ

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

For all trial classes we encourage students to wear comfortable clothes that they can easily move in. We kindly ask students with long hair to secure it away from their face and bare foot can be worn. If you decide to register with us after the trial lesson, the school’s uniform can purchased through our dance store. We encourage students to have the required uniform by the beginning of their first full half-term.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE FIRST CLASS?

Prior to your first class you will be send our Schools Information Pack filled with all the relevant information. On the day of your first class please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class and be dressed ready for the class. Parents/careers are encouraged to wait in waiting areas whilst the child takes their class as we find children concentrate and develop more confidence away from their parent/career. However if your child is nervous and it may be reassuring for someone familiar to be around, this can be discussed on an individual basis. Should you choose to leave during the trial, please arrive promptly back to the studio for the end of the class.

HOW DO I REGISTER AFTER MY TRIAL?

All trials will be followed up by our Principal within 48 hours. We will include details how to register with us and manage payments for the classes.

FAQ: FAQ

DO STUDENTS HAVE TO TAKE EXAMINATIONS?

Royal Academy of Dance examinations are offered progressively to students but are not mandatory. We believe through offering an examination process our students are given the opportunity set a goal and to feel a sense of achievement. Every student will progress differently and our professionally trained teachers will make the decision when we feel a student is mature enough to benefit from the exam experience. However, in no way do we hold anyone back should the chose not to undertake exams.

IS THERE CHANCE TO PERFORM?

Yes! We believe that performing for an audience holds great value and something that everyone should have an opportunity to experience. We aim to hold performances at the end of the school year and audiences are invited to attend.
